Citrate Stabilized Silver Nanoparticles: Study of Crystallography and Surface Properties
نویسندگان
چکیده
Citrate stabilized silver (Ag) colloidal solution were synthesized and characterized for crystallographic and surface properties by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and zeta potential measurement techniques. TEM investigation depicted the size of Ago ranges from 5 to 50 nm with smaller particles having single crystal structure while larger particles with structural defects (such as multiply twinned, high coalescence and Moire patterns). ζ-potential measurement confirms the presence of Ag+ in nAg stock solution. The shift in ζ-potential measurement by +25.1 mV in the filtered solution suggests the presence of Ag+ in Ago nanoparticles. Unification of Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy of Dyes Using One Pot Synthesized Stabilized Ag Nanoparticles
stabilized Ag Nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using Lee-Meisel method under three different conditions in an oil bath. UV-Vis spectroscopy of the Ag NPs showed a Localized Surface Plasmon (LSP) band around 430 nm, indicating Ag NPs had a size range around 40 nm. To fabricate a surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) substrate, LSP properties of Ag NPs was employed with the goal of detec...
متن کاملStability of citrate, PVP, and PEG coated silver nanoparticles in ecotoxicology media.
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are present in the environment and a number of ecotoxicology studies have shown that AgNPs might be highly toxic. Nevertheless, there are little data on their stability in toxicology media. This is an important issue as such dynamic changes affect exposure dose and the nature of the toxicant studied and have a direct impact on all (eco)toxicology data. In this study...
متن کاملFluorescence Spectrophotometric Determination of 6- Thioguanine in Biological Sample
Present work describes the fluorescence spectroscopy determination of (6-TG) using silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The acridine could be electrostatically adsorbed to the surface of the citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticles. Upon addition of 6-TG, the acridine is replaced from the surface of AgNPs which induce the aggregation of AgNPs. Under optimum condition, the fluorescence intensity enhance...

The present study mainly focuses of combined action of Nepali hog plum as well as citrate synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and Amikacin, as an antibiotic. The synergistic actions of citrate stabilized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs with chem) were compared with that of Nepali hog plum Choerospondia saxillaris (Lapsi) synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs with plant), together with action...
متن کاملDLVO Approximation Methods for Predicting the Attachment of Silver Nanoparticles to Ceramic Membranes.
This article examines the influence of three common stabilizing agents (citrate, poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP), and branched poly(ethylenimine) (BPEI)) on the attachment affinity of silver nanoparticles to ceramic water filters. Citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticles were found to have the highest attachment affinity (under conditions in which the surface potential was of opposite sign to the f...
